​Social work education combines theory and practice to prepare the next generation of social workers to achieve the mission of the profession, dedicated to the welfare of all people, the development of research and professional knowledge as well as skills and resources to meet the needs of the populations we serve, and the achievement of social justice for all.

As social work continues to evolve and expand, pedagogical and evaluative research is needed to ensure our degree programs are high-quality and attuned to a changing world. This lab has conducted research on practicum preparedness for Master of Social Work students, and experiences of PhD of Social Work students.
